Essential Travel Information
1. Foreign Office advice
For the latest travel advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office including security and local laws, plus passport and visa information go to www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice.
2. Passports and visas
For passports, different countries have different rules on how long passports must be valid for. Since the UK
left the EU, clients travelling to Europe must have passports issued less than 10 years before the date they
enter the destination country and valid for at least 3 months after the day they plan to leave.
For destinations outside of Europe, most destinations require your passport to have 6 months of validity beyond your intended stay.
For visas, or other permissions such as electronic authorisations/ visa waivers please visit the Foreign Office travel advice at https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice.
For more information concerning passports please go to the UK Government passport page https://www.gov.uk/going-and-being-
abroad/passports which will show links to the appropriate embassies and authorisations websites.
3. Health
We advise clients to seek recommendations on vaccinations and precautions from a health professional - either a GP, a practice nurse, a pharmacist or a travel health clinic -
ideally at least eight weeks before departure. Further travel health advice can be found on https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries
4. Travel insurance
Travel insurance is available through our recommended partner Holiday Extras, at 0333 188 0667 quoting our ABTA number, F4406, to obtain the best rates.
We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance either through ourselves or elsewhere. In particular, the need to cover for the cost of cancellation or the cost of assistance, including repatriation, in the event of accident, illness or death.
Travel insurance is important and you should take it out as soon as possible. For some good advice from ABTA see https://www.abta.com/tips-and-advice/planning-and-booking-a-holiday, or the Government’s Travel Aware https://travelaware.campaign.gov.uk/
